Take Action

Hey there, World Changer.

We're giving Syrian and Iraqi refugee children the chance to learn and dream. And we want you to be part of the story, too.

Get Informed

After more than five years of war in Syria, 400,000 people have been killed, 7 million remain internally displaced, and over 5 million have fled their country and now live as refugees. The first step to impact change is to become informed — and to stay informed. Learn more about the conflict in Syria and Iraq, and be sure to follow us on Facebook for the latest news and updates from the region.

Become an Ambassador

An ambassador is someone who represents or promotes the needs of others, and that’s exactly what you’ll be doing as a Road to Mafraq Ambassador: representing  and promoting the needs of refugee kids among your own sphere of influence. Ambassadors volunteer their time to serve at Road to Mafraq events. They engage their sphere of influence by reaching out to their community — both in person and online — about the need to support education for refugee children and to raise money for our partner schools. And they volunteer their skills to support and grow the work of Road to Mafraq.

If you would like to partner with us in our work, contact us today to serve as an Ambassador or consider applying for an Internship!

Host an Event

The conflict in the Middle East is not just political, not just historical, and not just numerical. It’s personal.  We’re committed to sharing the human story behind the news headlines, to introduce you to the real families who are impacted by this conflict. We’ll share their hopes and dreams, their losses and their triumphs. Since our inception, we’ve reached over 3,300 people across the U.S. with the human message of hope the refugees themselves carry.

We speak to diverse age groups in diverse settings, though our primary focus is school and university groups. Contact us today to schedule a speaker for your next event!

Start Fundraising

One of the biggest ways you can have an impact for refugees is by raising money for the programs that serve them.  And we’ve made it easy!
